The fruit hairs are red, hairy, and with a peculiar double-hook near the end. But your Author daren't say too much, as the characteristics varies across the whole spectrum of possibile shapes and characteristics between the two parents, Wood Avens and Water Avens. |

Easily confused with : Water Avens Is a hybrid of: Wood Avens (Geum urbanum) with Water Avens (Geum rivale) being (Geum × intermedium). This fully fertile hybrid swarms proliferate where the parents meet, with the hybrids exhibiting a full spectrum of intermediate forms between the two parents covering every aspect.
