A Mediterranean plant not to be found wild in the UK.

A little later in the year a brush of lilac flowers forms at the top of the flower, very similar to our Knapweeds, such as Common Knapweed.

The curved white scales eventually flatten and split at the ends and become the colour of brown paper, much as the bottom ones have here.

The leaves are glaucous green, and similar to Knapweed leaves in the UK.


Superficial resemblance to : Lupin

Not a plant to be found in the UK, but more of an Alpine Mediterranean plant.
