Perhaps a characteristic of Kashmir Rowan; several pinnate leaves come from much the same place.

The berries are large, marble-sized and pure white without any pink, but if damaged become brownish. There are about 7-9 opposite pairs of leaflets, plus a terminal one.

Except where the five petals once were at the 'seams', which look like the bad stitching work of a surgeon.

Bark is dark purplish-brown and shiny.

An Asiatic Rowan cultivated in parks and gardens as an ornamental tree.

Easily confused with : Flower [a plant of similar name]

Un-like most other Rowan Trees, this one has flowers that are pale pink, in large heads. The fruit are large marble-sized and pure white with no hint of pinkyness about them like those of Dwarf Rohan, Hupeh Rowan (sometimes called Hubei Rowan) or Vilmorin's Rowan
