The previously named the Horse Chestnut [Hippocastanaceae] Family is closely related to the (mostly tropical palm) Sapindaceae Family, and some taxonomists have now replaced both the Maple (Aceraceae) family by this the Sapindaceae Family, and retained the English family name of 'Maple' from the Aceraceae Family.
